AZ's "Last Of A Dying Breed pt II (L.O.D.B.2)" review

What can I say but this is a rap legend still at the top of his game even though he doesn't have the same levels of fame. He has been doing this for a long time and this is the closest thing you will hear the lyrical sounds of Nas on a free mixtape. This may be new but it takes me back to a day when I was a lil stupid nigg wasting my time playing Crash Bandicot, broke as hell. Enjoy the great rhymes of Track 6- "Serious" ft Nas

I don't mean to turn away from AZ greatness but listening to this keeps my mind on Nas. It sucks that he is so tied into the industry that he is not able to release a free mixtape. Take him as lesson to all y'all artist striving to make it big to OWN YOUR NAME AND RIGHTS!!! Don't allow yourself to get signed to some weak ass lil record company because they offer you a little 10k signing bonus. If you are lucky enough to have a major record deal then please protect yourself with lawyers that you trust because they are dirty too.

I can't wait to visit New York one day and dive myself into that great rap environment. I do rap but that's not my focus right now. I am a much better freestyler and not that great with punchlines and listening to artist like Cassidy, Vado, AZ, and I could go on all night but there is something in the air that makes them all extremely clever with their words. Here in Chiraq its more about the feel of the artist connection with the beat and that is why Sosa is so big right now. ATL rap is more about that southern bangers with deep base. Nawlins rap is a mixture of soul and jazz vibes and Cali focuses more on a gangstas chilling on the beach kinda rap. This is why its so important to rep yo city so folk know where you come from and AZ has been doing this for a long time and keeps Brooklyn at the premier levels of hip hop.

You can download this mixtape at the link below. Also I do this for free and if you find yourself reading all my reviews then why not show your appreciation by donation a dollar to my Paypal. Thank you for visiting Great Frank's Place.
